Henrys Lake State Park

Henrys Lake State Park in Idaho is a must see for anglers and k-9 lovers, as it offers guests a stocked lake, as well as a beach and trails to explore. Being located just 15 minutes from America's "volcanic hot spot," known as the Yellowstone National Park, makes this park a perfect starting point for exploring the nearby area. Within the state park, you will be pleased to find a lake among the high mountains, giving you and your pup a chance to cool down.  

At Henrys Lake, you can find both activities and amenities for camping, as well as day use. If you decide to camp at the park, there are over 40 different campsites for you to select from. Campsites are rustic, but offer access to clean water. Cabins are available if you're in search for a more modern stay. A campground host is also always on site to answer any questions you have during your stay.

Within the park facilities, you will be pleased to find a variety of amenities including washrooms, an amphitheater, boat dock, fish cleaning station, picnic tables and showers. You will also happy to see there are various ways to entertain yourself including hiking the many trails within the park, swimming at the beach or playing horseshoes in the pits. These amenities are available to those using the park for day use.

While walking your pooch, you're asked to abide to keep your pup on a leash at all times, even when in areas that appear to be free of other visitors. You're also asked to clean up any waste your pup makes. Garbage cans are scattered throughout the park for you to use at your own convenience. Only certain areas of the lake and beach front are dog friendly, so be mindful of the signs posted.
