Hound Ground Dog Park

The Hound Ground is a dog park in Winter Springs, Florida. There is a parking lot right by the dog park gates which is still no excuse for letting pups out of vehicles without their leashes. Accidents can happen in parking lots too. Keep them leashed and keep them safe until they're inside the staging gates.

This dog run in Winter Springs has two great enclosures where the dogs are allowed to be off-leash. They're separated size-wise so big and small pups don't need to mix. Both compounds are long rectangles, so there's plenty of space for pooches to get a good run in and stretch those canine leg muscles. 

Pet parents can stretch their legs too, as there are paved circuits running around the borders of both off-leash areas. There's plenty of play equipment to keep pups happy. They've got doggy tunnels to run through, hurdles to jump over, plus several fire hydrants for lifting legs and doing what comes naturally. 

Owners get to sit under the shade of a pavilion and dogs can lay under the trees. They've even got a shower installed to freshen up under when the weather is hot. Now that's doggy bliss. The Winter Springs parks department are pretty on the ball, so make sure pups are wearing their tags for vaccinations and licensing to avoid getting a fine. 

Dogs love to be on the ball too, but unless a pooch is happy about sharing and doesn't have a possessive tendency towards their toys, balls are best left at home. So are children, unless they're strictly supervised and know how to behave in a place where dogs are running around freely. One thing which can't be left behind is poop. There's no need to pack it in and pack it out here as there are waste stations with bags and trash cans for them to be deposited in when used.
