Isaac Dog Park Calverton (at EPCAL)

The Isaac Dog park is an off-leash dog park in Calverton, New York. This dog park is an area of the city's sixty-acre Veteran's Memorial Park which has been designated to serve as an off-leash area for exercising Calverton pups. This dog park in Calverton isn't huge by any means, but it is a shady nook where dogs can have some off-leash fun mingling with their four-legged brethren. 

Big and small don't have to mix here either as the little pooches have a compound reserved just for them. Between the two individual runs, the dog park measures up at around an acre, so that's some good space for pups to explore and there's plenty of trees for them to do their business against. 

There is some grass, but it's mostly been worn away by busy paws to reveal the dirt beneath. The dogs love that and don't mind one bit if they get their paws dusty. If pet parents are planning a lengthy stay with their fur baby in this Calverton dog park, they need to take some water with them as there is none available on-site. 

Pet parents can take a rest, so long as they keep an eye on their dog in the meantime, on the picnic tables and benches the dog park has been furnished with. They do need to step up if their pooch starts misbehaving though. Anti-social dog park behavior needs to be nipped in the bud before it starts. 

Even when it's deemed usual doggy comportment, such as attempting to mount a fellow canine or vocally expressing themselves by constant barking, it has to be stopped. If a pup does get too carried away with its socializing, it can be leashed and walked down one of the trails in the Veteran's Memorial Park to calm down. What they shouldn't forget to do is pick up any poop their pup made before they go.
