Kickapoo State Park

Located in the beautiful state of Illinois, you will find Kickapoo State Park. This park is the perfect place for anyone that is looking for recreational weekend fun. Kickapoo State Park covers around 2,842 acres of land, and it provides over 220 acres of water fun for all families. 

The water at the Kickapoo State Park is known to be crystal clear, and the park is also known to be well-maintained and reasonably clean. When you come and visit this Illinois State Park, you will find many different amenities that are available for your enjoyment. 

You will find over twenty deep ponds that range from 0.2 acres to 57 acres in size, hiking trails, lots of nature, picnic tables, picnic shelters, day use areas, overnight campsites, and overnight facilities. You can also boat, hunt, fish, mountain bike, horseback ride, and go wildlife watching. 

Dogs can come to Kickapoo State Park, but they must be on a six-foot-long leash during their stay in the area. During your stay at this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the Kickapoo State Park. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to Kickapoo State Park as this park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Pet parents should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. 

If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made online or in the park's main office. Illinois is lucky to have such a beautiful park like this one in the region.
