Description
Overturf Butte Reservoir Off-Leash Dog Area is one of six facilities which offer designated off-leash zones for dogs in Bend, Oregon. Housed on 1.7 acres of property, this lovely natural space is home to a dog playground near to the Skyliner Summit Loop. Here, dogs with a solid recall can enjoy off-leash exercise, socialization, and play. Dogs who do not consistently come when called should remain on a lead for their own safety.

Overturf Butte Reservoir Off-Leash Dog Area is a public dog playground. To encourage as many dogs and their owners to visit the play area as possible, access to the property is permitted at no cost. Located directly beside the City of Bend Overturf Butte Reservoir, the play space is easy to find and offers limited parking nearby.

It is important to note that this dog play haven has only partial fencing, and it is not noted which areas of the property are enclosed. The run does offer shade and bench style seating; however, there is no water, and it is unknown if bathrooms are available on the grounds for public use. Owners should bring bottled water and a dog dish with them from home. Complimentary poop bags are provided via on-site dispensers.

It is assumed that all owners will display responsible pet ownership by cleaning up after their pets. Overturf Butte Reservoir Off-Leash Dog Area provides direct access to the Cascade Highland Trail. Here, families can enjoy the on-site amenities which include horseshoe pits, a playground, and benches suitable for picnicking. In these areas, Fido must remain on a lead.

Overturf Butte Reservoir Off-Leash Dog Area observes a no-tolerance policy regarding dog aggression and excessive nuisance barking. Owners must carry one leash for every dog in their care and are not permitted more than three dogs under their supervision per visit.

Vaccinations and a city dog license are required, and tags as evidence of both must be prominently displayed on each dog's collar. Looking for a great new off-leash park to explore? Why not bring Fido to Overturf Butte Reservoir Off-Leash Dog Area?

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
