Patton Landing

Patton Landing is a recreational area and beach in Carnelian Bay, California. The property is also home to a dog-friendly cafe known as Waterman's Landing which offers a limited menu of high quality, delicious food and drinks for families to enjoy. Fido is welcome to join his owners on the cafe deck and is also permitted access to the eastern portion of Patton Landing's beach. 

Though it is not listed if dogs are allowed to be off-lead at this recreational space, it is assumed that that is not the case since California by-laws typically only permit dogs to be off-leash in designated fenced zones. Bathrooms are housed on the grounds, but visitors to this area do remark that bringing drinking water for dog consumption is a necessity. 

Complimentary poop bags are available on the premises. Owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their pets and properly dispose of their waste. This is instrumental in helping to keep Patton Landing a dog-friendly, clean, and attractive place for all to enjoy. Access to Patton Landing, a public facility, is provided at no cost to all people and their pooches. 

Among the amenities housed on the grounds of Patton Landing are concession stands selling food and drinks, a kayak/paddleboard rental shop, and a nature trail. Visitors to this park do note that the beach area which permits dog access is small and quite rocky. There's also picnic tables and benches scattered throughout the grounds for public use. 

The most popular recreational activities at Patton Landing include fishing, boating, swimming, kayaking, hiking, and picnicking. All dogs visiting Patton Landing must be current on all vaccinations. It is also important that owners comply with California by-laws and register their dogs for a license with their city.
