Rocky Fork Metro Park Dog Park

The Rocky Fork Metro Park Dog Park is just one of the exciting things available for dogs in this amazing park in New Albany. No dog could really ask for anything more. As well as the off-leash dog park, the Metro Park offers pups on and off-leash trails too.

The dog park measures almost two acres and is a great place for dogs to enjoy some off-leash time. The same as most dog parks it's been fully fenced with metal railings to make it safe for any pup who might have the desire to break out of confinement. Though to be fair, most dog who go to this dog park have such a good time; they don't want to leave to go home. 

One of the reasons they love it so much is because in the summer months they even have their own splash pad in the off-leash areas. If pups do need a change of scene, then they can either go for a run on the third of a mile long off-leash trail which is separate to the dog park. 

There are no worries here either if a pup isn't fully trained to voice commands as there are three other trails through the nearby woodlands which they can enjoy on a leash. Strange as it may seem, cats are also permitted on the woodland trails if they're on a leash.

It does defeat the object of having such a great facility for pet families if those responsible for their fur babies don't clean up the poop. Poop is a fact of every pet parents life, and just like changing a diaper on a human baby, it can be unpleasant, but it still has to be done.
