Salt Point State Park sits on the California coast, drawing visitors from all over the world to experience its beauty, adventure, and recreational amenities. This state park can get rather chilly in every season, so it is suggested that you bring multiple layers with you for throughout the day. If you decide to camp at Salt Point State Park, you may want to bring extra warm clothing and sleeping gear for the nighttime. 

When you come and visit this state park, you will find many different types of facilities that are available for your enjoyment. You will find picnic tables, picnic shelters, restrooms, hiking trails, biking trails, various beaches, fantastic views, camping areas, fishing, and sites for different recreational activities. Your dog can also come with you to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their entire stay. 

During your time at this park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the park. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. Dogs must be well-mannered before they come to this park as they do not tolerate any aggressive behavior and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. 

Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation. Reservations can be made on the park's main website or in the park's main office. Salt Point State Park has become a geological mystery over time, and many visitors are fascinated with all of the natural sites that exist here.
