Though there is no structured programming available at this furrific spot, you will find it is a pawpular gathering place for people looking for a fun locale to spend the day with their best canine bud. Be sure to bring along a leash as Miami's by-laws do require that doggoes out in pawblic places must remain on a lead at all times.
Spanish Lake Park is the pawrfect spot for a picnic lunch or snack. There is a pavilion which offers shade from the sun and some wooftastic picnic-style seating. Pack a lunch and enjoy taking in the furrific sights all around you. If a little outdoor activity tops your wish list, Spanish Lake Park will not disappoint. The abundant grass areas are the ideal spot for a little frisbee, ball, or even a game of tug. Fancy taking a walk? The park is traversed by a cement walkway which offers some doggone fantastic views of the region while you and Fido get your walking groove on. Trees throughout the grounds provide ample shade to ensure no one goes home with a sunburn as a souvenir of their day of fun!
Though clean-up bags are not provided, there are multiple garbage cans throughout the grounds where you can dispose of your pooch's waste once you have picked it up. You'll need to bring bags from home to assist you with this task. While you're packing your bag, don't forget to include some drinking water too!
