Udall Dog Park

The Udall Dog Park is a section of the Morris K. Udall Park in the City of Tucson, Arizona which has been designated by the Tucson authorities as a zone for exercising dogs off their leashes. There is a spacious parking lot right next to the large dog area, although dogs must be kept on their leashes while walking from the lot to the off-leash area.

This Tucson off-leash dog park measures around one acre in total and is split into two different sections. Both off-leash areas are surrounded by high chain-link fencing and are secure exercise areas for dogs of all sizes. One section is for small dogs, but entry is not permitted to puppies who have yet to reach four months of age. 

Both off-leash areas are surfaced with compacted dirt, and there is the odd tree here and there, but they do not provide much shade. The Udall Dog Park has several benches, a gazebo shelter and is illuminated during the evenings.

All pet owners using the facility to exercise their dogs off-leash are held one hundred percent responsible for the actions of their animal. All dogs are required to have completed their vaccinations and have a current license. The license tag must be displayed on the dog's collar.

At the Udall Dog Park, any holes excavated by their pet must be refilled to prevent accidents to humans or other dogs. Any dog displaying, or with a history of aggression, is not permitted in the park. Owners should ensure they have their dog under a reasonable level of voice control.

This off-leash area is equipped with poop bag dispensers, and owners are obliged to scoop up all poop produced by their dogs, bag it and deposit it in the trash cans provided. There are water fountains on-site, but it is recommended owners carry a personal drinking bowl for their pet to help prevent the spread of water transmitted infections.
