Joppa Preserve Trail

If your pup is looking for an outing and you are tired of taking Fido to the same old place, why not get out and take them somewhere fabulous! The Joppa Preserve Trail, in the Joppa Preserve, in the city of Dallas, Texas, is quite out of the ordinary and a puptastic place to visit with your furry friend.

You will find this preserve and trail easy to access. Parking is located at the main entrance where all you will need to do is grab your gear, a leash and your pup, and head out!

Over 300 acres is yours to wander on and is the perfect place to get back to nature.  Your furever friend will love spending some time in the great outdoors here where there are plenty of open spaces to explore, and just as many woodland areas calling their name! Take the Joppa Preserve Trail for 2.1 miles, whiich is part of the longer Trinity Trail, which runs for a total of 5 miles. As a place for migrating birds, this trail offers two lakes where you can take in the beauty and these lovely water fowl. A camera is a must for selfies with your pawtastic pup. It is the perfect place to take a hike as the natural footing is easy on the paws!

If you would like to spend even more time here, why not bring a picnic lunch to share under the shade pavilions at the preserve itself. You can catch the many fisherman that frequent the area reel in the ‘big one,’ or maybe see some horseback riders enjoying their outing. Be sure to keep your pup on leash throughout your visit here, and using clean up mitts is the perfect way to ensure this preserve and trail remains furever pup-friendly.
