Description

Settles Bridge Park is a furrific outdoor recreation area in Suwanee, Georgia that occupies 268 acres of land and was built in 2009. In that space, there is a dog park, sports courts, playgrounds, and miles of paved and natural-surface trails. Whether you bring your dog along to check out the off-leash park or take them for an on-leash walk on one of the park's trails, you're sure to make un-fur-gettable memories here!

Within Settles Bridge Park, there's a 1.6-mile paved surface trail that's pawpular not only with dog walkers, but also with inline skaters, cyclists, and joggers. If you're pushing a stroller or a wheelchair, this trail makes for a smooth and easy journey. There is also a 2.9-mile natural surface trail in the park that offers hikers a more rugged experience.

The paved trail leads to the Settles Bridge Dog Park, one of Gwinnett County's only off-leash parks. After your on-leash walk, your dog can play off-leash in one of the dog park's three sections. There's an area for small doggos under 20 pounds, a section for bigger dogs, and a third area where dogs of all sizes can play together. Each area also has shaded seating areas, water fountains and bowls, waste disposal supplies, and agility equipment.

When you're seeking a more intense workout, opt for the natural surface trail. You can choose to walk just a portion of this 2.9-mile path or complete the entire loop. This trail has more hills than the paved path, and it's much more secluded. You'll be passing through densely wooded areas with plenty of shade on hot days.

If you don't plan on visiting the dog park, be sure to bring your own drinking water and doggie bags for your pup. Visitors to Settles Bridge Park love the variety of activity options it affords its visitors, and you and your four-legged companion are sure to enjoy it, too!
Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
