Getting ready to book your next vacation? If it's tranquility and a natural setting you seek then look no further than Happy Holiday Campground, set on a Cherokee reservation in the Great Smokey Mountains.

The camp covers forty acres of beautiful, tree-scaped scenery where streams flow freely and a peaceful ambiance shakes off city living stress. RVs can roll in and be fully hooked up to water, electricity (30/50 amps), and sewer with a promise for tenters of magical nights by a stream.

Rustic cabins cater to travelers and holidaymakers wanting the comforts of home with kitchen facilities and bathrooms in some. Happy Holiday Campground features tidy restrooms, hot showers and a paid laundry room for camper convenience. You'll find a swimming pool and playground for the kids with a lake where trout is the catch of the day. Hosts are friendly and caring with personal escorts to a choice of over 370 camping sites. RV’s have easy pull-thru access to many of the gravel and grass pads with established trees for shade. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring.

WIFI is available along with a busy camp store that offers snacks including pizza, firewood, fishing, and camping supplies. A games room provides indoor fun with a low-cost shuttle that will take you right to the Smokey Mountains.

Dogs are welcome but must stay on-leash when outside vehicles or other accommodation. There is a $25 fee for pets staying in the cabins and the hosts ask that no aggressive dogs be brought to the camp.

Spending time at Happy Holiday campground is a memorable experience as you embrace the spiritual ambiance and history of Cherokee culture. The campgrounds are a primitive, beautiful landscape with gravel roads offering seclusion and a gateway to Cherokee, a legendary town alive with Native American traditions. Spend time in the museum or Oconaluftee Indian Village learning crafts, sacred rituals, and how Cherokee prepared for war. The town is a storybook journey of a people who lived thousands of years ago in this region and today honor their past by sharing the tales of their ancestors.

Happy Holiday Campground is a special place in the Smokey mountains with some of the best hiking trails on the planet, like the Fire Mountain Trails - a 10-mile journey on mountain bike or foot.
