Description

Visiting Washington, North Carolina and looking for a place to stay that will welcome your four-pawed family members? Search no further! The family-oriented Tranterā€™s Creek Resort and Campground sitsĀ near the Tar River and provides plenty of comfortable options for your stay. Offering spacious and secluded tent sites, full-service RV sites, and cozy cabins, the campground will become your new home away from home. Its cleanliness, amenities, and easy access from the highway are just some of the reasons this popular campground is so highly-rated among both casual and experienced campers.Ā

The grassy campground has a well-thought-out layout consisting of well-groomed and shaded campsites, each with plenty of space for your pooch to roll around in and enjoy the sun. Some of the sites are pull-through, and each site comes with a water and sewer connection as well as electric hookup of 20, 30, or 50 amps. The cabins overlook the creek and come with private screened porches. There are several sunny tent sites and a few that are shaded and secluded, allowing patrons to enjoy a more traditional camping experience for $30 per night. Since the campground sits by a river, you can rent a kayak or canoe on-site for $10 per hour.Ā

There are ADA-accessible restrooms, a camp store, and laundry facilities on-site. TheĀ campgroundĀ also features a large, heated swimming pool, group pavilion, a game room, a playground, free WiFi, and countless organized activities and events throughout the year to keep both the adult and little campers entertained. From bingo and karaoke nights, crafts, and petting zoos to cornhole tournaments and potluck dinners, you and your family will find plenty of fun activities to participate in during your trip.Ā

If you prefer to venture outside of the campground, be sure to check out the paved, three-mile South Tar River Greenway, a flat, wooded path, or the three-mile Green Mill Run Greenway that passes through several parks -- both trails are easy-level and dog-friendly.

At Tranterā€™s Creek Resort, you and Fido are just a bone's throw away from endless family fun!

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
