Description

Water views are always a drawcard when it comes to choosing the pawfect vacation destination, and Twilight on the Erie RV Resort goes above and beyond with a campground overlooking a scenic, historic canal.

The opportunity to fish or take the boat out on this scenic waterway draws travelers to park their RV or book into a backpacker style cabin, with the option of upgrading to a luxury version. You can also rent an RV trailer or pitch a tent in a secluded, wooded space for $35 to $55 per day, with access to the internet included.

The resort is relatively new and offers RVers full hookups to electricity (30/50 amp), water, and sewer with a choice of pull-through or back-in entry. The daily rate is $50 to $53, and a picnic table and fire ring are provided. You may need help leveling a sloped site. Not a bad trade-off for staying at a rustic resort offering a glittering swimming pool, trendy kids' playground, and a popular bike path close by. Cyclists will be in biking heaven peddling the Erie Canal as it ambles through 363 miles of towns, cities, and wondrous sights.

The resort hosts love thinking up ideas to entertain guests, with cowboy and cook-off themed weekends, plus live bands, bingo, and hayrides for the children. A train line is nearby, and guests note that a little noise can be heard but doesn’t detract from the good times happening all season.

Restrooms, showers, and a laundry facility are modern and clean, while a games room keeps the party going. There’s also a pavilion and camp store offering everything from RV supplies to ice cream.

Furry friends get to tag along and must bring their current vaccinations certificate to gain entry. An on-leash rule applies to every part of the resort, and intrepid nature walks a huge hit for woofers on holiday. Pooch protocol requires guardians to pick up their fur-babies' waste and only bring civil canines to stay.

Venture out on a 4-minute trek to the town of Macedon and visit Long Acres Farm, a rural venue with an intricate corn maze and heaps of kid-friendly things to do. Twilight on the Erie RV Resort is a popular New York campground open from April to October, so book your stay in advance to avoid disappointment.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
