Bremen Street Dog Park’s location under the Route 1A overpass in East Boston may seem unusual, but this pupular neighborhood dog park is open and airy. People who drive their pups to the park will typically find some street parking, depending on the time of day.

Inside the Bremen Street Dog Park, doggos will find a variety of agility structures so they can strut their stuff. Or they may choose to climb into or onto an obstacle and just hang out. During romping, the park’s decomposed granite pebble surface protects sensitive paw pads and improves traction.

Small dogs can rejoice with a separate section just for them, and the park's sturdy fence ensures everyone’s safety. Its double-gated corral also prevents entry escapes. Two water fountains keep thirsty dogs and pup parents hydrated, but you might bring some water as well in case the fountains aren’t working during the winter months. Benches for socializing and keeping an eye on the pups are scattered around inside the fence. When it’s time for a cool-down after the sweaty play, the asphalt walkway surrounding the park is pawfec for a leashed walk! 

Pet parents are asked to be mindful of others and pick up their dog’s waste. The park provides waste bags and receptacles, but it's a good idea to have some on hand in case they’ve run out. For the humans, restrooms can be found in nearby East Boston Memorial Park. Be sure to follow all the park rules listed at the entrance, such as having a current license and ID tag on your dog's collar when visiting the park.
