Brookhaven Park

Brookhaven Park is a 20.8 acre passive neighborhood park that is loved by locals and their dogs. It features expansive natural open spaces with gently rolling terrain and mature trees. This park is well known as the place to hang if you have a four-legged family member. Until recently, locals would let their doggos roam leash-free in the whole park, just under voice control. In order for all to enjoy the park, including those without pets, a dog park has been added! There is now a five acre fenced-off space designated to pet lovers and their dogs. Dogs are still allowed throughout the rest of the park on-leash. 

The dog park is located in the northwest corner of Brookhaven Park, and encompasses woods, a creek, and hills that your pal can romp around with their new furry friends. It's the pawfect space for your pup to blow off some steam, roughhouse, or enjoy a game of fetch. The area can get muddy, so you may want to bring a towel for your car! There are plans to add dog washing stations and doggy drinking fountains, but until then, bring along some water to share with your pupper. 

The surrounding park is very family-oriented, including playgrounds, a basketball court, and an open use sports field available on a first come, first serve basis. Fido will love taking a leashed stroll with you on the walking trail that loops around the park! There are plenty of seating areas where you can kick back and relax, including a large covered picnic pavilion and a smaller covered picnic area. Brookhaven Park is also known for hosting annual events like Bark in the Park, Atlanta's Chili Cookoff, and various holiday themed events.
