Description

Pups living in or near the Fort Campbell Military base have a pupperdise waiting for them at the Fort Campbell South Dog Park. Pawfect for doggos who need to run free, your pup is sure to find friends and excitement at this park.

This furbulous dog park can be found on the Tennessee side of the base, near Gate 3. With manicured grass that's easy on the paws, this park is always looking good. Fencing surrounds the park for extra security, and a separate section just for smaller pups ensures that all size dogs can play comfortably. On Saturdays and Sundays from 8 AM to 10 AM, the small dog area hosts puppy playtime where puppies 4 months and younger can learn to socialize, so long as they have their current vaccinations.

Take a seat on one of the benches and relax while your dog romps with canine furiends. Several of these benches are placed under canopies that provide shade. A majority of the dog park is in an open field, and although you will be seated in the shade, your canine will likely be playing in the direct sunlight. When your dog gets thirsty, water is available, just bring a bowl. There is a good amount of space at this dog park, and plenty of space in the large canine section for games like frisbee or fetch. Agility equipment is pawrific for the sporty pups. Even the most energetic or rambunctious canine can wear themselves out at this dog park.

Porta-potties are available for the humans, and clean-up bags for the dogs are located at the entrance of the dog park, making picking up after your pup a breeze. Except during special puppy playtime hours, all dogs entering the dog park should be 4 months or older, and have all current vaccinations. A rabies and license tag should also be on their collar. Also note that certain aggressive breeds are prohibited from the park, including Pit Bulls, Chows, Rottweilers, Doberman Pinschers, and wolf hybrids.

Since the dog park is on a military base, all residents and personnel of the base have access. Civilians who live outside the base can also use this woofderful dog park. Just have a current ID and proof of vehicle registration on hand to get a visitor pass at Gate 4.
