Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park

Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park is in London, KY and full of activities for just about everyone. The park is a local favorite and serves as a community meeting place for people who live in the area. It has achieved its state park status because it was formerly the home of pioneers who took a risk by settling in Kentucky. The state park even has an exhibit of seven pioneer homes to depict what it was like to live on a settlement.

At Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park, there are basketball courts, hiking, horseshoes, mini golf, picnic tables, an outdoor theater, a swimming pool, volleyball courts, camping and the Treetop Adventure which is an aerial course featuring 60 elements. 

Dogs are allowed in the campgrounds of Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park as long as they stay nearby on a leash. The campsites are clean even though there’s frequent come and go of other campers. Dogs who like excitement will enjoy camping here and most likely not even realize they’re on a leash. 

If the pup is in the mood to be more active, head over to the hiking trail where they can walk alongside you retracing the same steps more than 200,000 pioneers once took between 1774 to 1796. The path is roughly eight and a half miles long. The Levi Jackson Wilderness Road State Park is like visiting a summer camp with your dog. It’s here that you’re able to learn some history, be active, make new friends and have fun along the way.
