Mason Mill Dog Park

The Mason Mill Dog Park is a small lot for your pup to come and meet other dogs and play. The park features two areas with double-gated entries each. One area is for small dogs and one area is for large dogs. The ground is primarily made up of woodchips and dirt, so be ready for dust on the hot, dry days and mud on the rainy ones. For those hot days, there are several trees throughout the park, spread out just enough so your dog can enjoy both sunshine and shade. 

There are also water fountains for Fido to sip some water after he runs around with the other dogs. This park is only half an acre, but it does include benches for the owners to sit and watch Fido, and there are also poop bags provided and garbage cans for convenient disposal. There is also a gravel path along the perimeter if you want to walk with Fido off leash. 

Make sure your dog wears his collar with licensing tags and is up to date on his vaccinations. Aggressive dogs are not allowed in the park and if a dog demonstrates aggressive behavior, he should be removed. Don't bring food into the dog park, either and do not bring glass containers into the park. 

The Mason Mill Dog Park is managed by DeKalb County and is considered part of the Mason Mill Park, which is not in the same area. The dog park is located on North Jamestown Street and is approximately one mile from Mason Mill Park. You'll know you're at the correct park when you reach a parking lot that is across the street from the Williamsburg Apartments and has six parking spaces, which includes one handicap spot. There is also a distinctive sign indicating that it is the dog park.
