Sandy Springs Dog Park (at Morgan Falls Park)

The Sandy Springs Dog Park is an area within the boundaries of the Morgan Falls Park in Sandy Springs, Georgia. There are two specially designated zones where dogs can be exercised off-leash depending on their size. One side of the dog park in Sandy Springs is for pups under twenty-four pounds in weight, though this doesn't include young dogs under four months. 

Puppies are not permitted until their vaccinations are complete. While that may seem unfair, it is for their own health and safety. This dog park in Sandy Springs is a great place for dogs. Everything dogs love has been included. There are grassy hillocks for pups to roam around, trees and a small creek running through the center of the off-leash area. 

Owners should be prepared with a towel or something to dry their dog's paws with, as guaranteed, they are going to jump in the creek and get muddy. The Sandy Springs Dog Park also has some good agility equipment which includes buried tires and a-frames. That said, owners need to carry poop bags and drinking water for their dogs with them. 

Sometimes there are bags in the dispensers, and sometimes there's not so better safe than sorry. The use of bio-degradable bags is recommended, and there are more than enough trash cans for used bag disposal. While this Sandy Springs Dog Park is quite spacious, there's still a two dog per owner limit. Don't forget, all dogs whether an owner is exercising one or two, need to have their identity, vaccination, and license tag on their collar. 

All dogs need to display the correct social interaction with both other canines and humans in the dog park. If they don't, there's no excuse; they have to forego their off-leash fun time and get taken home. If children are accompanying their parents to the dog park, they must be ten years of age and have an understanding of how to behave in the company of off-leash dogs. Children under ten need to stay outside the off-leash area's perimeter fence.
