You don't have to search far to find famous dogs with names that end in "io". In fact, there are many pups named Julio that make headlines for a wide variety of reasons. The first famous dog named Julio is a pup in Lima, Peru. Julio was a stray dog who wandered the streets, scrapping for food. Then, one day, a police officer saw Julio and decided to rescue him. Carlos Iglesias took Julio in and also decided that the dog would make a great police officer. 

Even though Julio had no formal training, he went on to fight crime alongside Carlos- the duo was unstoppable. Julio was even promoted to Captain after doing a fantastic job as a police officer. Rios had been looking for a dog to help him with his severe anxiety. While he had seen many dogs, he never felt a connection with any pup until he met Julio. Julio's calm demeanor helped Rios relax immediately and he knew that this pup was meant to be his. Julio and Rios now live happily together along with the rest of Rios' family. While he may have had a tough beginning of his life, now he has a playmate forever in Rios. 

The last famous dog named Julio is a French Bulldog who belongs to the famous actor Mario Lopez. Julio Caesar Chavez Lopez is the dog's full name and he became the lucky pet of the actor after many other celebrities encouraged Lopez to adopt this breed. While they can be stubborn, French Bulldogs love to spend time with their owners and can be quite affectionate. Lopez has said that he was thrilled to find Julio and his long search for a dog was worth the wait.
