Looney Tunes Dog Names

As mentioned before, Hector is one of the more obscure Tunes, but there's likely a very good reason for that;  Hector's gross deficit of recolonization could be due, in large part, to the Looney Tunes franchise's surplus of Bulldogs. Besides Hector, there's also Spike, a large Bulldog who wears a red shirt and a brown bowler hat. Spike is almost never seen without his good friend and constant confidant, Chester, a smaller, yellow dog with brown spots and an excitable personality. In their first on screen appearance, Spike takes on the role as leader of the duo while Chester looks up to Spike with awe. The two try to strong arm Sylvester, only to be inexplicably sideswiped by a black jungle panther, who escaped from a nearby zoo, every time. 

There's also the the Bulldog Marc Anthony, who's got brown fur and a more anxious disposition than Hector or Spike. Marc Anthony and Pussyfoot have a relationship that's completely opposite of Sylvester and Hector's; Marc Anthony goes out of his way, and often puts himself in harms way, to protect the cute, infantile Pussyfoot from hazard environments and his own childish ignorance to the world at large. 

Breaking away from the Bulldogs, we have the previously mentioned Barnyard Dawg. Dawg and Foghorn Leghorn are often pitted against each other, with the latter outsmarting the former nine times out of ten; it's quite hilarious to see how susceptible Barnyard Dawg is to even the simplest of Foghorn Leghorn's tricks, but Dawg is nevertheless committed to protecting the farm with his life if it ever came down to that point. But it never would because, you know, he's featured in a children's cartoon and everyone's basically immortal for comedy's sake. In the end, Looney Tunes has an assortment of memorable dogs who don't get as much love as they ought to, but considering the series' lasting appeal, that may someday yet change.
