Runaways Inspired Dog Names

Nico Minoru is a fascinating character. She is the daughter of powerful sorcerers and is one of the most powerful heroes of the new generation. Nico is an original member of the group and has faced some epic trials. Like all heroes, her goodness was severely tested when she realized that her parents were supervillains who literally doomed humanity to the forces of evil. In the series, her parents are tech moguls who make questionable choices at best and are flat out evil at worst. In the comics, Nico's parents have no redeeming qualities and try their best to take out their daughter.  

In the series, they have a few more redeeming qualities and generally care about their daughter. This does not stop Nico from using the staff her mother created to run away and fight the villainous group "Pride". The source material and the series differ, but Nico always does what is right. Despite facing some scary challenges, she always comes out on top and is determined to undo all the bad that her parents did. Where some people would turn a blind eye, she does not give in to what is easy. She is a fighter and is eventually chosen as the leader of her group. 

She shares these qualities with her counterpart, Nico the Dogo Argentino. A while back, this shelter dog's picture went viral on social media. The beautiful dog was sitting in a corner with his head down and the most heartbreaking demeanor many people have ever seen. He looked defeated and sad, sure that humans had forgotten about him. His picture captured the essence of loneliness and misery that many shelter animals suffer. The dog was beautiful, so why wasn't he being adopted? This is a sad fact of life that many animals suffer, but unfortunately, Nico had all the odds stacked against him. Besides being one of the thousands of shelter animals abandoned every year, Nico is deaf. 

This story tugged at the heartstrings of many, and one person stepped up to take care of Nico. His new owners are sincere dog lovers who gave him this name that is full of meaning. They taught him to navigate the world without hurting himself. Finally, Nico has a safe, loving place to call home. Nico Minoru may have been rejected by her parents, but thanks to her friends, she did not have to face the world alone either.
